Givi pannier rails with after market exhaust

I have a 2018 DL650XT with a yoshimura exhaust.
Looking at the instructions to fit the pl3112 givi pannier side rails and they look to attach to the original exhaust.
Has anyone come accross a fix for this?

They have an extension piece that attaches to keep the heat away from the panniers, you could make it fit but you might not need it.

Ahhh   l see,  its purpose is to extent the exhaust to clear the panniers rather than another fixing point , thanks
