Bike damage after accident - Help please
« on: September 15, 2019, 08:39:58 »
Good morning Folks, had a bit of a mishap on Friday last, turned too quickly on a corner and dropped my beloved vstrom (2012 650 in white), suffered bruising on my right leg and foot but nothing serious.

My question is, having scraped the right hand tank cover, what colour is the paint code to respray it (if this is the correct thing to do) and where does one source the rattle can?

Be grateful for some advice on the way forward folks.

With many thanks for assistance which no doubt will come my way.

Andy

Andy,

Sorry to hear about your mishap but glad you are okay  :thumb:

Have you priced up a new panel? Obviously it will be more expensive than a rattle can repair but might not be too bad.

Also, don't forget good old eBay

RS paints will make up the colour for you but they are quite expensive, I have used them before and an excellent match.

Ebay and second hand panels as stated above may be the way to go.
