Seat height

So I got myself a 10 plate 650 one or two things make me think it could of been lowered, 29 inside leg I can flat foot, forks are about 1” through the top yoke and today 2 up it bottoms out, so how long should the dog bones be?, I can only see 4 rings on shocker and damping is at full, help please.

Sounds like you could be right, it's an easy job to put back to original spec, and then up the preload.
Fingers crossed someone here might know of some dogbones going second hand.

Forks in the top yoke have a limit for 'lowering', I think it's 15MM (5/8th inch). Rings on the shock absorber simply preloads the suspension, it doesn't affect the overall length of the unit. It could well bottom out if the bike is loaded and/or the damper is set too soft. (Or the dampening no longer works......!) Dog bones will lower the bike of course. You'll have to measure the distance against standard. I don't have the figures, perhaps someone else can help there. There are rubber blocks under my seat which might be removed, not sure on your bike.

Hold the bike upright and check seat height (rider) against standard value
So how's it going so far then?

Standard Dog Bones are 140mm centre to centre.

The dog bones are 150 seat is 31”

Yes it has been lowered by about 25 mm.
