« on: April 27, 2019, 19:49:41 »
have had this happen a couple of times when pulling away from juctions etc in first and find I can't change up to second, the gear lever seems stuck, end up having to pull the clutch in and out  in a few times and eventually it will shift, then be fine for quite a while  then do it again, bit one nerving when trying to accelerate away and you can't , only happens in first, any thoughts

An oil change is usually the easiest way to ease a clunk clutch lever, presuming the push rod/controls etc are all damage-free and there's no obvious faults.

Check you oil level (or do a change) and the chain tension.

just had it up to the local bike mechanic, oil is fine was only changed 300 miles ago, he says the gear lever bush is badly worn and a lot of play in the lever and recons that is what’s causing the issues so recommended fitting a new one
