Hi all,
Can anyone give me some advice should all the new DL1000 Stroms come with easy start?

The Suzuki web sight blurb says yes. But that only apply to current models

I got a new one last month dealer said it doesn't but the blurb says they do. Thought you blokes would know for sure.

Heh,heh,are you having a go at this forum Lofty,I think this has got mixed up in the translation,the Suzuki Easy Start system is the anti-stall device as on the later DL650 versions.

Isn't the Suzuki Easy Start system something along the lines of press the start button once rather than hold the button down to start the bike?

The bike should be in neutral and without pressing the clutch you are supposed to press the starter button briefly and it keeps turning over till it starts. I'm concerned that the ECU is faulty and the dealer has sold me a duff.

You've got to hold the clutch lever in...

Yes, you will have to hold in the clutch lever.

I thought the new bikes didn't need the clutch pulling in any more? Might be wrong but I'm sure I read that somewhere?

No need to hold the clutch lever. A brief press and let the electronics manage the start of the engine.

Missenden flyer did a review on you tube. No clutch used when he started it.
