Can anyone recommend a front mudguard extender for a 2017 Wee XT?

:thumb: Basically I got that for my 2017

Suzuki DL650 V-Strom 2012> Extenda mudguard by Pyramid mudguard Extender 050300

but mine was a bit cheaper from ebay, and came with little plastic rivets (like the ones hold the fairings on, on the bike), cos I don't trust sticky patches . I lost my first one within 20 miles of setting off from home, years ago!

they've gone up! But fits well enough.

Why not use the sticky pads to locate the mudguard Extender, and then drill it and use the plastic rivets, double security and the rivets are nearly invisible. That’s what I did and it’s rock solid.

:text-goodpost: yes that is what I did.
Only fly in the ointment is the instructions that say " remove the mudguard to clean it, drill it and fit the extender". Suzuki front guards were bloody awful to remove. Are they easier now?
If the mudguard is left on then take great care when drilling the rivet holes.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

Just the same as always. My mate has a 2012 DL650 and he has just removed the front mudguard to fit fork gaiters and had big problems both sides with the fixings seized up,and, the bike was in a dealers last year having new fork seals,so they didn’t put much anti-corrosion grease on did they ! Plus he had the corrosion on the connections under the tank just before we went to Spain this year.He blames it on the bike being a long term demo model at the dealers that went out in all weathers without any winter protection.

If you are drilling with the mudguard on the bike I would recommend either wrap some tape around the drill bit 10mm from the end or use a deep socket as a stop. I speak from experience after drilling through a back panel on a brand new Saab 99 to fit number plates at pdi. The Saab 99 had a vertical spare wheel located behind the number plate panel and I went straight into the tyre....I was an apprentice at the time, the "senior" I was working with told me to "bung a tube in it, be reight". :)
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Also stick a block of wood between the mudguard and tyre to be extra careful...
