V Strom going/gone
« on: October 21, 2018, 19:32:49 »
All happened a bit quick, right place wrong time I suspect !  :smirk:
After 2.5 years and some  very decent mods the V strom is going and returning to my first love a GSX1250FA.  (had a Bandit for 4.5yrs before the Strom. Simply loved that engine)

I came across a 1250 local to me  and same year as my V Strom, and only done 1000 miles and like new, So a very decent 'deal' done and  so that was that.  The V strom has been great, and trouble free.  However,  the lure of that 1250 lump.  I am going to put up some very nice bits off my Strom on the for sale section. (and ebay)  watch this space

Spot on SimStrom.
As I mentioned I had the 1250SA Bandit for over 4 years.  Until March 16. Then my V Strom.  The V strom has been really good, no complaints at all, and with the decat mod the torque is not far off the 1250.  However, if your a 'lazy' rider you can leave the 1250 in top all day and ride the thing like a scooter .  Even pull away from a stand still in 4th !  It shows how flexible that engine is.   The strom has loved the 'open road' on my trips, not so good in built up areas.  Is that a 'Tony Archer' seat ?
