I've just checked with Orwells, Ipswich, and they confirm that my 2017 DL650 needs a recall. All at Suzuki's expense, taking about 90minutes. Thanks for the heads-up.

Bugger! Mine too, Suzuki website says to ring dealer. 'O' ring apparently. Thanks for the heads up :text-goodpost:

Bit more info, for those curious to know...from Suzuki , Canada

Suzuki RECALL
October 17
Recall #: 2018558
Models Involved: 2017-2018 Suzuki GSX-R1000, DL650 V-Strom, 2018 Suzuki GSX-S750
Number of Vehicles: 1,911

Problem: On certain motorcycles, the fuel pump O-ring may have been twisted during installation and may not seal properly. This could result in a fuel leak. [Apparently 'very small quantities' no big risk of ignition] my brackets

Correction: Dealers will replace the fuel pump O-ring and fuel tank inner vessel with improved parts.

This from elsewhere;

Suzuki RECALL
October 17
Recall #: 2018001
Models Involved: 2014-2018 Suzuki DL650 & DL1000 V-Strom,
Number of Vehicles: 10,901

Problem: Due to one of our designers taking mindbending drugs, the listed models were incorrectly fitted with a ridiculous pointy front end and one of the headlights was omitted.

Correction: Dealers will saw off the daft beak and try to make your bike look less like a demented parrot.

So while everyone is concerned about having their gentleman's bits toasted over a roaring inferno of Japanese engineering, Fat Rat decides to point out some slight cosmetic flaws.  :thumb:
