Puncture repair storage.
« on: September 23, 2018, 15:13:51 »
Following my recent demise caused by errant scrap I purchased a compact pump and repair kit.

This pleased me.

However my topbox was becoming rather congested so started my quest to find an elegant and practical storage medium.

Ta da and drum roll.

To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

If you take the plastic case off the compressor the motor and piston fit in the palm of your hand. Used for the odd bike tyre they work just fine without the case.

You'd get other stuff out of the top box that way. Neat job BTW.

Absolutely!  Was wondering why the OP hadn't done that; hadn't realised he was a Traitor!

That looks very neat TLP - how is it attached as I may just want to copy this most excellent idea??

I've been wonder where to put my own puncture kit as the underseat area is now fully occupied, not that there was much space there to start with.

Thank you.

I just removed the upper bolt on pannier bracket, then drilled through the new case and bolted it on using the bracket threads.
