Worth the upgrade? DL650 L4 to DL650 L8

Hello everyone,

I am considering taking up the current 0% finance offer and trading in my DL650 AL4 for the new version.

What are people opinions on the new bike? is it worth the upgrade?

I cannot see the point in updating from a K4 to an L8, never mind L4 to L8.

Unless you have piled the miles on the L4 then I don't think you will gain much.

I'd say so .. that's 14 years worth of upgrades. It's got the new engine that's more refined, more powerful and better mpg.

The only thing that lets the L8 down is the spoked wheels and the silly front end .

True for Martin maybe, but not the OP who is going from an L4...

I wouldn't personally unless there's something wrong with your bike or you're still on PCP and don't want to pay the lump sum...

If you own the L4 outright then get your money's worth 

If you were wanting to go to the 1000 on 0% then that's a different question (though Kwackboy's comment about front end/spokes still stands)
