So I can be sure before ordering, is anyone able to confirm the Kaoko Throttle Lock reference to fit my Glee (with hand-guards).

Pretty please

I was also trying to find this out a year ago with no real luck. Ended up buying one of the plastic ones that fit over the grip and rest on the front brake lever. Been to Spain twice now using it with no problems and use it all the time now. :)

Thanks for the reply.  I have one of those but can't get it over the Oxford grips shod with grip puppies.

I already have the Kaoko on my other bike and it's brilliant on LONG runs.  Would love to get one on the Glee.  If no one else on here can help, I'll just contact a couple of sellers directly.  Thanks again.

Have you got a link to the plastic one?

Thank you for your help.  Yes, I went ahead and ordered the one you suggested and the blimmin' thing doesn't fit (before you recommended it so my own issue).

The kaoko is supposed to slot some way into the bars yet the bars have a welded in threaded insert which restricts the kaoko from being pushed in.  I don't particularly want to cut the insert out and the kaoko sellers site (R&G Racing) doesn't seem to offer an alternative that will fit.

So I've asked their advice or for a refund.

What year is your bike? Standard bars? Wasn't aware of a welded in insert.

It's a Glee with a 2011 plate.

That looks odd to me. The standard bar end assembly goes in much further than that. Looks as though somebody took the rubber expander out and welded that in to try and stop the end weight from slackening off.

Late reply but yesterday I took my bar end off to try and fit my Kaoko throttle lock which I bought from Zippy ages ago...

My handlebars didn't have that welded insert in it - see pics inc stock bar end.

I think I've installed it correct although I may have used an extra spacer than needed  will have to give it a try when the weather improves and see if I prefer it to my cramp buster which I've used for years as don't think they both fit together...

I also should have taken a picture of it installed with the OEM handguards which I put back on the bike yesterday too. Will take one tomorrow and post  :thumb:

I forgot about this.

Turns out that my Glee doesn't have the standard handlebars (don't know why, they must have been changed by the previous owner).  I sent the kaoko back to R&G racing for a refund.

Thanks for the feedback.
