Delkevic advice & discount?
«

Am looking for an exhaust with a tad more noise that will fit my 2015 650 XT with Suzuki Centre Stand, SW Motech bash plate and Suzuki/SW Motech panniers/frames. Delkevic have confirmed their 350mm Stubby fits (whereas Fuel aren't sure about the bash plate) and the price is very competitive - so am seriously tempted! I'm on the point of placing an order (just need to decide between stainless vs carbon). Have read Fat Rat's review and various posts - but has anyone fitted one to a Glee recently and especially one with a Suzuki Centre Stand and/or SW Motech bash plate and/or Suzuki/SW Motech panniers/frames - any issues?
Anyone used the discount code successfully recently? I've just tried it (AHPDKIT17 - also tried with '18' rather than '17' ) and got the following message - "Warning: Coupon is either invalid, expired or reached its usage limit!" Am talking to the nice people at Delkevic at the moment and will post an update when I hear back.

Update - Delkevic have confirmed the discount code has expired (they've offered me free post and packing though). Just need to decide whether the carbon fibre finish justifies the extra £50 (probably not but it does look soooooo nice). Problems, problems, problems.

Thanks for flagging this, I have emailed Delkevic asking if they want to renew the code

Cheers Fat Rat. Will probably go ahead and place an order anyway but 10% off would seal the deal!

I had the carbon one, on their advice that it runs cooler than stainless and would be best for soft luggage. Spot on, it doesn't get red hot, and it looks great. Much nicer than the stainless version fitted previously.

I have had a response from Delkevic but have sent them some feedback on their 'offer'.

I fitted one of the carbon fibre Delkevic cans to my Veek and can confirm that it doesn't get too hot. I didn't go for the stubby as I wasn't looking for more noise but wanted rid of the hideous standard can.

I don't know about you but 'free shipping' doesn't seem much of an incentive

Does anyone pay for shipping these days?
Anyway, 10% off plus free shipping sounds much better...

Kind of depends on which of their exhausts you are buying - prices range from £220 to £290 for the Glee. So a 10% discount is a saving of between £22 and £29 compared to free postage of £10. But either way it's still way cheaper than the alternatives. Key for me is the exhaust fitting my bike with Suzuki Centre Stand and SW Motech bash plate and pannier rails. Fingers crossed for Fat Rat's powers of persuasion though!
re the Stubby - it's still 350mm (which looks about ideal to me) rather than the 200/225mm ones they offer (but the latter aren't road legal).

My shop buys from delkavic all the time and getting discounts out of them is like drawing blood from a stone.
We don't spend a fortune but it's enough to warrant a fair discount but we often get frustrated at their ebay prices being the same as we get "trade" . It's a piss take .
If their exhausts wasn't so good we would trade elsewhere .

Mention of e-bay (cheers Kwackboy) led to the discovery it's free delivery anyway if you order from their e-bay shop. The £10 delivery fee only appears to apply to purchases from their website.

Just as an update on this old post I spoke to a lovely lady at Delkevic and told her that the code had expired and she kindly renewed it until the end of March. I saved 26 quid off my exhaust and got free delivery too
I used the code AHPDKIT17
Apparently all the bosses were in a meeting at the time

I rang Delkevic at the start of June and said that the code had expired and could she do anything for me so she renewed it to the end of July. If you're buying after then ring first and I'm sure they will extend it again.
