Help Please
« on: December 23, 2017, 12:44:49 »
I have a intermittent issue, I have been out for 30 Min's & was traveling at 40 mph ish, and tried to accelerate (not hard) but it starts to die/splutter, it doesn't die totally then as quick as it came it goes and the bike returns to normal with no further issues during the ride. any advice would be welcome.

At a guess, I'd suggest fuel pump filter. There's a thread somewhere on here about how to test it.

Hi, I've got a k7 behaving in a similar way, read my recent post.
I'm about to strip it down to do some testing (when I get the time)....the main culprit for those symptoms seems to be a worn TPS, this can be tested with a meter for spikes etc. But numerous other things can give those symptoms.

A worn TPS usually causes poor running at idle but can cause problems at a speed that is often held for long periods of time. The fuel pump test is at http://www.vstrom.info/Smf/index.php/topic,3981.0.html
