Styling is not for me, but I imagine it'll do the job well.

Price still TBC, it looks to me that this bike will never happen, 3 months ago Suzuki salesman in Romford was unaware of this model.

I think you're all crazy...
Weight 188 Kg (similar to the 650).
Power 24 hp (almost 1/3 of the power).

It'll be gutless unloaded and even worse with those panniers full.
At 24hp it doesn't fit into the UK licence restrictions very well.
A1 licence is 20hp, A2 licence is 47hp... though I expect you could get a restrictor kit to make it A1 licence compliant but then the power to weight suffers again.

I think this bike has been made for Asian/India.

I agree, I think the versys 300 would be a better bet, I expect pricing will be similar but that is a bit over 5k and for me it just seems like your better off paying the extra bit and getting the 650 or one a year old with low miles. Isn't the engine a retune of the inazuma one?

Official promo calls it a 'V-Stor(r)m', not a V Strom ! Typical Suzuki!  lol

The forum corrects mispellings of 'V-Strom! btw

I like the look of it. A 250cc engine will not set the world alight, the reality will be 70/75 mph, anything more would require a tail wind, downhill and a good thrashing in the lower gears.
If you don't need to go fast this could be the bike for you.
How many people in the UK ride a 250? Not many and as other comments suggest it is neither here nor there with the licence restrictions so I can't see it selling well at all.
125 next on the list? Maybe Suzuki ought to drop the 'V' and just call it a Strom.

Much better than the bus!
Just thinking along the lines of "might as well just buy the 650", it will suit some riders and if my other half continues to ride her 125 then I could be tempted to have a 250 as pottering around on my Vee can be tedious - It was much more fun when we had a CG125 that I had to thrash to keep up.

'£4.6k launch price' does that mean it goes up (buy quick) or in 6 months time they'll be £3.5k with a load of extras??  lol

Hmm. That does seem a bit steep.
Lots of other bikes available at that price and like I said earlier you might as well buy a new 650.

That headlight.... it looks like some aftermarket afterthought..

The rest of the bike looks OK.. but not for that money, I bet they sell about 100 of them tops.
