So what's recommended for 2014 DL1000,  I need it to take two lids and be easy to put on and take off as it won't be on the bike permanently.

Givi, Kappa, Shad? or a cheap ebay special?
Monokey? Monolock? universal plate fitted to existing rack? or complete new mounting system? or something different from all the above?

What are you blokes using?

Paul, is it fitted with a universal plate bolted to the bikes rack or on givi arms?

It's fitted to the bikes rack with the monokey top plate.

outback trekker is either a 1 lid box or a huge box that is far too big for any bike.
The standard trekker 52ltr will take 2 lids, where the 46ltr won't.

Or the V47 which will fit 2 lids and doesn't look ridiculous.

Depends on the lids.
My V47 won't fit my Schuberth c3 flip up and her Shark full face.
Have to use the old cycle lock trick.
But it takes all our gear for over night stops wheh we are on the road.
And this fits inside a treat at a tenner.

I was just looking at getting the trekker Outback 58L, I have a maxia e55 fitted at the minute, I suppose it would look very 'boxy' but it's actually not as wide as the e55.

I have the 58 litre Outback on my Glee. I bought mine from abroad and saved a fair bit, but with the exchange rate being what it is now, the difference may not be so great. It is a great box. When I tour I have very little in it. I use it to store kit when we are off the bike. I like to keep the weight low in my panniers ( which are ARD cases)
