Raised passenger foot pegs ????
« on: June 08, 2017, 23:24:40 »
Hi please can somebody help  :dl_hyperhysteria:
This might be an old subject but I need some help please , I'm off abroad in 10 days time and I shall be taking  Mrs witches on the back of the Veek and she is struggling to touch the foot pegs comfortably, so I need to raise them by 2/3 inches or buy new ones that are raised !!
Could do with some help , I'm not an engineer or mechanic so I can't go out and rustle some up in my shed so need some advice please
I stand tall,  but I am short
I shout loud, but I am quiet
I ride a DL1000 and Proud.

I personally have not seen anything that raises them, not to say there is not a product out there.
Something could be made to do the job, but time is short to get it done in time.
I may be able to knock up something late next week to get you out of trouble, I live near enough to you for us to avoid postage, I will have a look at mine and see if it is something I can make and be happy with the result.

MFW adjustable pegs from Sportouring in Wales might suit. Might be dear.

Hi wurzel,
Thank you for your reply and kind offer , do you think it's do able ???
I have seen lots of lowering kits but nothing to raise them?
Time is running out and I'm not sure how to sort this problem, that's why I put it to the forum, have you come across this before on here or else where  :dl_smiley_banghead:

It is doable, but it will be the end of next week before I can get on it, have a look at the adjustable ones first to see if it's an option, if not I will make something up.

Will not give you 3 inches, but don't forget it helps to over sole and heel her boots and that helps a lot of shorter riders have an edge.

Pics...we all love pics....they are a bit scruffy round the edges, but can be made nicer when you get back from your trip...

My milling abilities are restricted, I'm using a small lathe, and drill bits as tools until I get my bigger lathe wired in, but they will get our man going, and can be refined at a later date. :)

Top job Wurzel. :thumb:

To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.
