Help with heated Grips
« on: April 29, 2017, 18:18:35 »
 :dl_smiley_banghead:

Greetings from a "newish" V-strom rider of York. I've had my bike from Sept last year, although it did spend 3 months away during the winter. My AL5 variant came as standard but has had handguards, crash bars and a rear box added. Looking to add heated grips next and thinking of Oxfords Premium. Can anyone recommend which would be best, touring or adventure? Any hints with the fitting as I'm a bit rubbish with technical items?  any help gratefully accepted. Cheers.
Graham

Welcome to a fellow resident of York...

Sadly I'm no use to you with technical help though!

I have 'Dr Bike' ones for £35 from J&S Accessories in Leeds. Been using them for a few years now with no issues. Just had to trim the outer end off to get them to fit with the handguards.

(The chap in J&S told me Dr Bike are Oxford ones under a different branding)

Hello! and  :welcome:

Just ask your Q in the vstrom specific thread, or even the accessories thread...there's loads of folk had the same issues, and will be happy to advise. Also, try a 'search' in the wee box in the bar at the top of the page
