Glee Pass Switch

The Glee has a dual function switch, permanently on and 'Pass', the wires are shown below. I want to use the Pass Switch as a PTT, does anybody know which pair are for the Pass (flash)?

You did this on the orange one, didn't you? Is the new switch and wiring colour code different?

The orange wire is ignition on power. The yellow wire is high beam power. The white wire is low beam power. The pass switch connects all three. It isn't like the switch on the Wee that adds a separate high beam connection to the selector switch. It's a unified switch that selects O-W, O-Y or O-Y-W momentary.

Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

Rusty, yes the switch is in a completely different place and it has two functions.
Thanks GW

VOX is no use on a Motorbike.

ptt means it only works when you actually want to talk, rather than extraneous noise levels tripping vox randomly.

I had a separate switch for PTT, unfortunately it was crap and only lasted a short while.
If it's not going to make it awkward to use you could fit a horn button as used on old Brit bikes or custom bikes.

....And when you sell it, the new owner can go round flashing his microphone. Would it affect an MOT in the same way as indicators I.e. You don't have to have them, but if the switch is there they have to work. Or would you put it back to spec pre-sale?

The Autocom system has a great Vox control, I've not come across better.
If Fat Rat is using a PMR system, the Vox controls are not so good as they tend to be too sensitive and get affected by the slightest bit of wind noise or you end up shouting to get the Vox to work. Much better to fit a PTT button - Also you can call your riding buddy rude names when he leaves you for dead on the twisties and he won't hear you... unless you forget to let go of the PTT button!

My autocom PTT switch failed so I replaced it with a microswitch under some bicycle inner tube and cable tied to grip. I operate it with forefinger and feels natural enough. Been meaning to take some photos and do a walkthrough, and been waiting for it to fail and replace to do so but it's been working reliably for 2 years now, and I'm sure you could work it out if interested.message me if you want more details. Total cost was about 20pence, a whole lot cheaper than a new PTT.

Thanks folks, to clarify, yes I am referring to Vox on a PMR Radio, the slightest wind noise (from me or outside) triggers transmit.
I found an old PTT microswitch and used that, I will take some pictures when I get home

Sorry, my VOX comment was a bit tongue in cheek
don't think I've ever used VOX on my amateur gear, I prefer a foot PTT, particularly when contesting as it leaves both hands free for logging.
Have you got the photos of the PTT install yet?
