Looks better. I've thought about doing the same.

Yep looks good.  Did you consider doing it in a matching red.

I have a white one and will get mine done in white when a 'friendly' paint sprayer is next doing some white panels :)

I had mine wrapped, I did try myself and made a right pigs ear of it !  So took to a professional who did it in about 20 mins.

that's a good colour match on that wrap, was it just a Matt black wrap?

Yes, I think matt black, but as I was at the vinyl wrap premises, he just brought out different colours to match.

Oh dear, it was a good idea at the time ! :groan:

I saw my 'friendly' paint sprayer and by chance he had to repaint the front of a VW Polo, white one. We looked at my White one, and he did point out it was 'pearl white' and when you look closely you can see the 'blue flecks' in the paint ! You learn something new every day.  It seemed pretty close so I thought sod it, for £30.00 its worth a go.  Off came the two front panels and the panels on the panniers and delivered to him. Four brushed bits of Alu. Collected two days later.

Smashing paint job, but nothing like the 'Pearl white', and when on you can see the difference.  I now own a 'two tone' white V strom 1000.  It actually looks OK, but......

Just got a 65 plate 1000 in white. As you all say it looks a right mismatch of panels. Even the brushed ally bits a different. So was thinking of spraying mine the same. RS paints do the matching paint , but costs a fortune and is not 2 pack. So will take beak off and take to local paint supplier for a match. Had a red 650 before and the finish was not not so disjointed. My ST1100 has colour matched panniers of course. Looks so much better.
