Loads on the search. 35mpg-to mid 40s for the Vee seems the consensus. You in Oz?

lol

MPG would be considerably higher if it's the 650 btw.

I average 40-45 on a run, going up to low 50's on all day tours/motorway use over the last 7 years. If its the newer model they are supposed to be a bit better than that but there's probably not much in it.

I tend to fill around 180ish as its a pig to push when you run out (205 and it was dry at 75mph in the outside lane in rush hour traffic...).

Yeah hi flanners

Sorry about the photo technical issue like I haven't a clue what I'm doing. I will attempt to alter

Any way I'm struggling to get 35 MPG from the bike doing a 11m commute on B roads at the mo seems a bit low by the sounds of it

Is it a Vee DL1000? If so yes you are a bit on the low side, though 11m in the cold is just about warming the engine properly I guess. I found my Vee improved massively with a new air filter as the original was still in there when I bought her on 10K miles with full dealer history the filter was absolutely minging. Also I use the torque of the motor and don't go high up the rev range on long trips in France and Germany last year I was getting high 40's or early 50's creeping over the 200miles to a tank or thereabouts. Splash of Redex and an 'Italian tune-up' may help too?
