Tilt switch.
« on: February 16, 2017, 09:32:00 »
Morning all - just bought a 2004 1000 V-Strom and it had a Meta alarm fitted (badly!) which has been removed. According to the wiring diagram there should be a tilt switch fitted but I can't seem to find it, so I fear it may have been removed when the alarm was fitted! Can anyone enlighten me as to where it should be please? Many thanks...

It's directly in front of the battery. Look for a small black box with the word "UP" cast in the top held in a rubber cage.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s
