I had no choice but to get the trail rear version fitted today. Rode home in the first decent rain for a while, which is guess is appropriate for these tyres! Going on a 500 km ride this weekend with good mix of roads to test them out.

I'm curious to know how many kms do you get out of a set of the PR4s?

they may last four years on my Speed Triple - I might forget to tell you by then 
I'll rack up more kms on Vstrom so will try and keep the forum posted on the Anakee 3 wear

so how did the ride go?
I did 1750 kms around the Snowy Mountains last week in 22-24C temperatures.. Brilliant!

The ride didn't happen. I wimped out and didn't go riding in riding in 45+C temps on the weekend. Hoping for one this week.

Just checked my rear PR4 Trail rear and after 6500 miles its just a shade off my wear indicators. Looks like I am going to be demanding Non Trail on the rear for my next one.

That's OK. "Wimping out" is very under-rated   
I did the Royal National Park yesterday, Monday 2.30 return, and had one police car in front doing 70 (in an 80 zone) and then 2 police bikes from Audley going the other way towards the end. I think they use "work" as an excuse
