Evening All,
After a flat battery a few weeks back I've decided to remove a datatool system 3 before fitting the new battery.
The unit is tucked up by the taillight and almost all the connections are into the taillight loom but I'm struggling to figure out what's what.
Reading the manual, it states that to remove the assembly only the main taillight connector needs to be removed, however on my bike 4 smaller connectors have to be removed. Looking at the pic below, am I right in thinking the black/grey plugs would normally be connected?
These connectors are on the end of a load of alarm wires, mainly spliced connections.
I'm also confused by the 5 black wires with yellow blobs coming out the end of the loom where the taillight connector is, are these wires normally there and where do they go, thinking they are ground? They have been wired into a connector block that seems to have all but one on one side of the block.
With all the connections close by I'm convinced I should be able to get this out fairly easily, always looks a lot worse than it is! Appreciate your thoughts anyway
