Funny how Kawasaki have restyled away from their Fugly stacked headlights to twin lights and Suzuki is going towards staked lights on more and more models.
I'm sure it'll grow on me in time but at the minute I like some features and don't like others, never been a beaker.  :icon_no:

The beak on the 2017 model is slightly less ridiculous than the current XT. The cyclops headlight just kills the look for me.

I agree, I don't mind a beak, but I really dislike the stacked lights

I don't like the Headlights or the Beak.

The argument for the single headlight is supposed to be a weight saving. So why stick a beak on the front? I know the beak weights less than an headlight, but weight is weight and that's a lump of plastic that isn't needed.

Stacked Headlight so you don't end up with this nonsense of one day light on the left and a never used full beam on the right. That annoys me so much looks unfinished

Not applicable to the Strom as both headlights are on all the time.

The 2017 650 exhaust is much the same in looks but would require a lot of work if it was possible. No way could a 1000 exhaust be put on a 650.

The 1000 got a very good charging system in 2014, 490W, a series regulator/rectifier and encapsulated rotor magnets. I have yet to see a single complaint about the Veek charging system. The 2017 650 is getting the same R/R. I'm not sure about the magnets but not many have come loose on 650s.

I have to say ... I absolutely love the look of the 2017 650 ...... The daft headlight is a little bit of a worry but the overall bike looks great ..

Also with SV cams, there should be a wee bit more poke ....

Anyone want to buy a Yam Super Ten??

Thanks for that info greywolf,   it might be worth putting the 2017  650 R/R on the older models ..

Style - Women have lots and lots of shoes they love but don't wear

Style - What grown ups were wearing in 1970 ( take a look)

Style - When looks are valued more than performance.

Well that's it then.

If a girl likes it we all have to defer to their judgement. Just like on every other subject.
