Money Supermarket - Naff Ads
« on: September 27, 2016, 19:54:24 »

Is it only me that finds their adverts totally naff ? What has a group of 'men dancing in tight shorts got to do with comparison sites? In fact, I find them quite revolting and as such I will never even think of using their site. :groan:

They have to sack their agency IMHO

Maybe I'm getting old?
Got to give credit to Camparethemarket for their ads though - amusing and innovative

Yes revolting. :-x
Funnily enough at My mother's today (she's 94 in January) she asked me what the advert was about? (actually said, "what are those twerps doing"?) In truth I had to admit I had no idea.
I told her it may be a pastiche of some yooff musick video rubbish.
But at 68  :old: what do I know?

From now on when I see the one in the hot pants shaking his booty,  he will, in my mind, be "twerping"!!  lol

Is it just sad or insidious. This country has gone to the twerps.

They are cunningly awful adverts. A lot of people find themselves watching them, even though they are repulsed, and the brand name sticks in their heads.
The only problem is... It works!

I don't like the meerkat ads either and that one with the opera singer with the silly moustache really annoys me.

Regardless of how awful the adverts are I still go on all of those sites to find the best quote.

I agree singer bloke is annoying, but 'dancing men' are obscene. I will never use their site even if they were the last one.

BTW - I am in no way a prude or easily offended, but those ads offend me

Wyn Evans is a proper singer, the adds just pay his bills. Good luck to the bloke.

Deliberately annoying me makes me not want to buy the product even if it is the best. I fell out with the Meerkats when they couldn't understand why I don't want to drag myself to the post office to collect their "free" dust collecting, land fill filling advertising crap.
