Braided clutch line?
« on: September 03, 2016, 11:15:40 »
I'm looking at braided brake lines for my K7 Vee, and the garage has offered to put on a braided clutch line as well.

Is there any real benefit to this? Or does it just look fancy?

It'll match for a start. I'd assume a hydraulic clutch line would be subject to degradation over time like a brake line... so braided line might improve? (Could be talking b0ll0cks though as I've not had a hydraulic clutch on any of my bikes)

The OEM clutch line is the same as brake lines but last longer as it's not put under the same pressures as brake lines. The only benefits are looks and heat , I noticed when in hot conditions the clutch felt different so I fitted a braided line to my clutch after I reconditioned the slave cylinder and Now the clutch keeps the same feel in hot weather
