Anybody know? I think they were for some rubber pads but can't find them anywhere...

I think you will find they're for pannier racks.
Do it today as there may not be a tomorrow.

Think ziggy is right, have just fitted Givi racks on me Glee using the holes in rear footpegs (& other places)  :grin:

correct.  I have the OE panniers and the two holes support a small fixing that comes off the hanger and the case slots onto it.  (albeit small, the panniers are OK)
2016 V Strom DL1000 A4. Heed  protection Bars, Sargent Seat, Scotoiler, Power Commander Fuel Controller, Delkevic 320mm Tri Oval and Decat, Givi Air Flow screen, Givi Tank Bag, Shad Top case, Suzuki Panniers, Centre stand, hand guards.

Yes that is the holes, look at the picture below and you can see the attachment which has nothing to do with cases...

That block looks like the foot that locates in the shoe of the Suzuki panniers. Is that your bike in the picture? I see no holes there.
( the line drawing was a Givi frame not oem )
