Headlight Bulb K9
« on: July 28, 2016, 13:38:27 »
G'day y"all, sorry for being away for so long but RL has been a bit of a shit for a while.

Anyway, I have a question.  One of my headlight bulbs has blown, I can see the gap in the filament.  My question is, on a 2009 ABS wee, can I replace the actual bulb unit, or do I have to replace the whole assembly?  My quick ebay search damm near collected a heart attack with the results that came back, replace the whole double headlight assy!!

All the damage and repairs I have done to these bikes over the past ten years and NEVER had to replace a headlight bulb!

Please tell me I can do a simple bulb change ;)

Cheers

btw, broken neck damage nearly fixed, getting ready for travel again, probably South/Central America :)

It's a simple H4 bulb change. I'm glad you are finally feeling better.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s
