Suzuki heated grips.
« on: July 19, 2016, 16:20:44 »
Hi all.
I have a 2011 DL650 with dealer fitted Suzuki heated grips.
Probably due to vibration over time some of the connections to the switch have broken away.
The switch is a surface mounted rocker type with 3 positions "H" "OFF" "L"there are two pairs of red wires with spade connectors and two white wires missing the spades.
Can anyone kindly advise the correct wiring to the terminals on the switch.
The heated grips are not important at this time of the year, but as I am taking the side fairings off for servicing it would ne handy to do the job at that time,as we all know what "fun"it is gaining access on a `Strom.
Thanks.

I don't know for sure but would think that the switch connects both grips in parallel for high and series them for a lower setting.
Do it today as there may not be a tomorrow.

Live in Rothley, Leicestershire.

Thanks for info`.
Will fiddle with connections, but might cut my losses and fit "Oxford" grips , as these seem to be a better product.

I am a convert to the Datatool Heated Grips because they have a switch built in (no external switch to find a place for).
