Ravtec, I have been on holiday in Thailand a number of times and rode off-road. It is an excellent country. I have just bought a DL1000 and am interested how your bike performs both on and off-road.

I just hard wired my Zumo with the mount that came with it

it also comes with a really handy usb which I run under seat

for phone charging etc
