Fuel gauge f****d
« on: July 06, 2016, 05:49:54 »
Pootling along the A63 fuel light blinking away for a few miles, there's me thinking oh well 4.5 litres. Pootling along some more waiting for the last bar to flash because that what the book says and 2.5 litres left.

Well when the usual Cough splutter and cut happened in the fast lane and have you tired pushing a glee home with sticky pants !!!!

Got me handbook out and lo there it was in black and white.

Petrol image flash = 4.5 litres
Image and last bar flash = 2.5 litres

Is it me?

Has anyone else experienced this. Off to France and Spain on Monday last thing I want is an iffy fuel gauge. Also in warranty until end of the month

I have to say that I do not rely on a fuel gauge, as that's what it is A GAUGE of how much fuel you have. I go by how many miles I have done, every time I fill up I reset the trip, when I get to 200 miles, fill it up again.
Safe that way, as to be honest, I could not push the Wee very far.

Has anyone experienced this non flashing of the bar at low fuel. All would be helpful.
