A Crimson tale

I bought this little gem from an unfortunate fella who happened to live in an area with scumbag kids. The little darlings pushed his DL650 over scraping the right side Fairing Panel, Crash Bars, Bar End and breaking the Handguard  :violence-smack:

He had this repaired professionally and shortly after bringing it home the little bastards pushed it over on the other side  :icon_batterup:

So.. here is a brief rundown of what I have done to make her all shiny again;

Removed the scraped panel, removed graphic and dropped in to the local paint shop,





Removed the Crash Bars and Bar Ends and sent them to the Powder Coaters.





Removed the coroded Water Pump so it could be painted.











Changed all fluids including Brake Fluid.



Changed Headlight and Sidelights (before and after).



I can't begin to describe how filthy the bike was, the previous owner knew he had to oil the chain and he just kept oiling and oiling  :crazy:

There were lots and lots of cheese bolts changed for Stainless and much polishing, painting and general titivating.







I need to make some room.

Any members know of an 57 plate in the same colour with black stripes running where original decals go? Running into the tank? With history tracing back to streetbike/ducati wolverhampton? That was my 1st strom. Yours looks fantansic andy! As you're now an offical restorer do you fancy an al0 in candy max orange?
