DL650 Tall Seat For Sale
« on: May 29, 2016, 13:44:39 »
I have for sale a brand new still boxed Tall Seat to fit 2012 onwards DL650 models. This seat raises the rider 20mm and takes the standard height of 835mm to 855mm. I paid £120 less than a month ago and will take £85 + postage costs.

I hope this seat will be of use to someone.

Hi,

I've just had my bike delivered, how do you know if it came with a small/tall seat?

Is this a stupid question? Should I be looking for serial numbers?

If it is brand new it should have the standard seat
You should be able to swap the seats at the time of purchase
This was a free service

If you look on Suzuki website, you can see the differences

Hi

 The seat is now sold.

Regarding the taller seat option on purchase I think it is for the DL1000 only.

OK thanks

It looks like they have stopped doing the seat swap option for the 650
As the 1000 option is under "Promotions" perhaps it was for a limited time only

Hi BlackRockFox,I bought the tall seat off Smudger, and what a difference it makes too, along with a footpeg lowering kit I've gained three inch's.  ooo errr missus :icon_wink:
Which has virtually done away with the pain in my knackered knees.

Thanks for letting me know

I have the lower foot pegs but after about an hour I still get cramp so I might try getting the taller seat
Am thinking of bar risers too

Do you find the seat more comfortable as it allegedly has more padding?

Thanks

Hi mate,I haven't really done any miles yet with the new seat as I tend to use one of the Shadows more this time of year. But the dozen or so miles I have done it certainly feels more comfortable.
As you're only in West Sussex an me in the East perhaps we could meet up somewhere and you can try my bike and see what you think before splashing the cash on one.

Thanks for the offer, sounds like a good idea
Not sure when though

I may only have to sit on it to know
I have a boney bum so find most seats uncomfortable
The best I have tried is the older model one
