Yep, mine did around 43mpg at ~100mph on the autobahn & used more fuel than the other three 1k bikes!!!
I too thought I had a fuel leak.

On the flip side, with gentler b roads through the Vosges, I was putting 4-5 ltr less per 150 miles than the other bikes :)

Hammer a glee & they are woeful on fuel!
Pootle & they are great.

Done about 20k on the Glee so far and have averaged about 68mpg - but then my commute (about 30 miles each way) is small(ish) A roads, which is generally around 4-4500rpm/55-60mph with only the occasional bit of dual carriageway (a good 70+ after all that boring A road stuff!) and as a rule I fill up after about 230-240 miles - which is at 'last bar flashing' stage.

Most from a tank? 298... and she was properly dry, but that was the best of three tries (280 and 285) and never again... (don't want to drag any tank sludge through the injectors)

As with the chaps above, I took her down to Cornwall at 90+ and ran out of petrol after 150 miles - anything over 5-6000 rpm and the efficiency falls off a cliff.

As a commuter though - I couldn't ask for more.

Is it me or dose the mpg on the clock do your heads in as I find myself looking at it all the time and adjusting throttle to get better mpg ✊

Absolutely! - Drives me nuts, but I still do it all the time

The fuel pump always draws from the bottom of the tank. Sludge is not more of an issue when the tank is low. The reason not to run it low is the pump is cooled by sitting in fuel. Running out or running low often can shorten the life of the pump.

I've done 300 on my vee. But average 180 on the motorway and about 220 the rest of the time.
