Had a few packages delivered to work yesterday. :lala:
A small clear screen for the Xj600n
A PAIR removal kit
HealTech Speedo Healer.

The PAIR system injects clean air from the airbox to aid combustion of unburnt fuel in the exhaust but also dilutes the nasties in the exhaust gases, basically a cheat for the emmisions.
With the free flowing exhausts and K&N air filter the bikes pops and bangs like buggery on throttle roll off. Now that is much reduced.

After I swapped to the 15t frobt sprocket my speedo has been reading high... 80mph indicated 69mph with GPS. And the odometer was also reading high about 11%.

Easy piece of kit to fit and calibrate and now my speedo is super accurate- I may change the setting to allow some leeway.

Then went for a sunny ride to Porthcawl, very busy there. Being an antisocial miserable git, I did a loop and went back home  :auto-dirtbike:

Too hot to sit about so I got the Bulldog out and rode to the Sportsbike Shop in Boston. I didn't buy anything. I just needed a place to go and return from. 254 miles round trip. A nice practice for the trip to Cornwall next weekend.

Wait until he starts singing "Lip up fattie"...
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Had a 210 mile jaunt today to the British Ironworks Museum near Oswestry.A very interesting place with a few really unusual sculptures, one in particular made from surrendered knives during several “knife surrender amnesties”.It wasn’t too bad going,we left Donington Services at 10:00 hrs.so it was still warming up.On the way back it was up to 35 deg.C,so quote uncomfortable when in traffic.Stopped at the OK Diner at Cannock for a drink, when we came out the difference from an air conditioned cafe to the outside ambient was quite startling,I reckon today was the hottest I have ever been on a bike, even including Spain in the summer.

Centre stand was swapped over on the V50 yesterday: it has fixed the lean to the left, but it seems to have a very slight one to the right now, if anything. Maybe just so used to it leaning left that it looks wrong now...

Took the Cappy out for a trundle around some of Northumberlands smaller, less used roads to give my mate a steady time out after he fell off his Triumph Thruxton due to old tyres (see humour & stabilisers). Nice run out, missed the rain and had some nice food at Berwick (Lowry's at the Chandlery). Back via Ford, Etal & Rothbury. Just notched 13,000 miles and the service indicator spanner has lit up...

Cheers TL. Now his confidence has returned on the bike I now need to work on his confidence getting the tea's in. Not sure when he fell of an urn but there is definitely a reluctance to purchase hot beverages...
