I use a site at the far end of the lake, right next to the steam railway station.

There is a pub / shop in the village and petrol station too, so pretty much everything I need.

I popped in to the Harley dealership this afternoon for them to check the strange wear on the front tyre. One of the Technicians came out and looked at the tyre and said these tyres on the sportster a prone to wearing oddly as they are slightly pointed rather than rounded, he showed me the front tyre on the brand new demo sportster ( the one I test rode ) and I could see what he meant by the tyre being slightly pointed, he checked the depth of the tread and it is still legal even though it is wearing oddly. They will check it out further on Thursday when the bike is booked in for its service.

My plan to be out on the Strom at day break due to being busy this afternoon took a knock when I woke up to thick mist that didn't clear till 9.... :GRR:
So  after it cleared took the RR out for a scream...it is what it is made for and  why I bought it after all. Short silly runs every now and again  :auto-dirtbike:
My new neighbour gave me a nod and a thumbs up on my way out.....a man of taste....as seen in his choice of colour for his really nice Nissan Skyline ...blue and black..where have I seen that?..... :icon_wink:
Hour and a half out and stopped at the " concrete lego "  near Hunny to stretch out .....crick..pop...

Just got back ......... that is that itch scratched for today.

Lovely ride this morning through the Kent countryside and through East Sussex. Took a few pictures on the way as most of you know I love a church and a windmill  lol    And I also came across an Abandoned train station.

Spent the weekend under canvas in Glen Coe - Shock Horror - NO MIDGES  :lala:
Roads, both tar and dusty types, all in great bendy order. Even managed a run round the Kinlochleven Loop - still smiling just thinking about that part of the ride.

Enjoy the piccies . . .

View across Loch Linnhe on the way to Oban

Racer Café on the side of the A828-Cracking food with great service . . . and very biker freindly

Novel bin outside the cafe

Views of Loch Etive

Just a great all round machine really, IMHO  :thumb:  :thumb:

A view of the Ben on our way to Spean Bridge on our homeward bound journey on Sunday

Steve. I am hoping to be riding those same road early June... weather permitting.

My Sunday afternoon was spent fixing the final issue on my 1974 Triumph 750, named Slow Progress as I started to build it from a pile of bits (which I have owned since 1993) in April 2019.

More to be done, but I can finally get it out on the road.

The older I get, the better I was.

Took my bike for its 5000 mile service. ( sorted out the service in the deal when I bought the bike 3 weeks ago) and you may remember I had an issue with the front tyre wearing oddly.   I took the bike in for midday and waited for it.I asked the service lady if they could also soften the rear suspension while they were at it. And I said someone was going to check the front tyre.I took the opportunity to go up to the clothing department ( where the coffee machine was on free vend Result 👍)

Got chatting to a few like minded people like you do  lol to pass the time.
After a couple of hours I went outside to look at some bikes and chat some more.
My phone rang and I was told my bike was ready and I was to pop to the service desk. Where I was told we have fitted a new front tyre for you  :thumb: now I think that was very good of them very happy with that :thumb:
Rode back a bit careful to scrub in the new tyre  :happydance:
A big thumbs up to the Laguna Maidstone Harley Davidson  :thumb:

Yesterday evening ( as it was Friday for me  :icon_wink: ) took the RR out for Cod and chips . Lingwood Chippy is great...and just happens to be at the end of some fine twisty roads.
First time I have had fried food this year and may well be the last , nice when I have it but don't often fancy it

My body is a temple...  lol.......but unfortunately the attached mind is a sewer......

I'm surprised the Honda runs well on Fish & Chips? Mine just spluttered to a halt when I tried it
