I always thought ten-gallon hats looked small.

Fitted some Fork Gaiters. £21 from fleabay.
The 'Stone' version has them as standard but not the 'Special'.
If they look too naf I'll fork out ( no pun intended) for Moto Guzzi version

Gave the BMW a service ready for Wales next week.

Oil & Filter,
Blew out airbox and cleaned Air filter (not that bad for 5k miles),
Coolant check,
Tyre pressures,
Systems check,
Adjusted chain tension and suspension for two  up, fully loaded riding.

Finally, the best bit,  some general tinkering and faffing around

Good to go ...  :thumb:

Chain guard needs a "NO STEP" sticker next to the extension.  :)

Rixington,  cheers  :thumb: they're a product of tinker time ..  :icon_wink:

Rusty, yes, it's rather large , it had to be otherwise when my 30 litre kreiga bags are fitted, that side gets covered in chain oil ..  :groan:

Could use a left-handed version for those of us with correct chain orientation. My left pannier is probably easier to scrub clean than your Kriega bags, though.

Took the GSX14 for MOT on Monday - felt good to feel the power again.  :auto-dirtbike:  :auto-dirtbike:  :auto-dirtbike:

The Mrs has been doing a bit back to biking over the last few weeks and she wanted back on her bike.
We went for a spin to Thunderroad Bridgend for her to look for new gloves and she said the GSX14 is so much easier to ride than the Honda CB650F she'd been riding with in the trainer sessions.

Pissed down the whole time, but she wasn't phased-on the first bit of open dual carriageway she decided to over take and there was nothing I could do about it.

Both bikes were filthy, I was hoping to get away without washing them.  :dl_smiley_banghead:
Washed and polished both  - without using the hosepipe - there is no power or water in my garage anyway.

All ready for the West Wales Meet now.   :obscene-drinkingchug:

A spirited 90 mile trundle on some back road twisties have shown the Avon Trail
riders suit the 690 KTM and my OAP riding skill  very well.

The Trailriders split personality between adventure touring and sport rather clearly illustrated here courtesy of another KTM (and Bosch MTC)

Today I have been up nice and early after an exceptional nights sleep and loaded the tigger up ready to head to France via the North Shields - Ijmuiden ferry. It's about 12 miles from my house so not exactly a taxing start...
It's pronounced 'twenty-one-twelve'

Today was the Thunderbastard's third MOT. Straight pass , no advisory's as always. 3mm on the rear tyre so another 500 to a 1000 will see it done.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

"A tester" isn't a term I'd use for Roy.

He asks me the frame number, he asks me mileage, he says "that looks clean, is it o'reight". We then chat about bikes for ten minutes.

He did ask to hear the horn today though, apparently "gaffers abart".

We used to test non-standard bikes at a boatyard. "Oh, that sounds well" he'd say.
