Something a little different and IMHO a little better than the Royal Enfield Interceptor my mate has, but with some of that Summer Sunday morning glint

Very nice  :thumb:

The 850 motor is quite torquey and they handle very nicely. Should be a hoot - enjoy !

Very nice ....  :)

I'm not a Guzzi fan but I've ridden a few which were surprisingly nice to ride.

Enjoy ..  :thumb:

Something beginning with "M"?

That does look rather nice mate.

Enjoy.

As soon as I saw it in the showroom it threw it's arms around me and said "take me home".
Well.... you have to ... don't you.

And this morning I arranged insurance to 19th June 23 and that cost me £116 including their fee of £35 and tax.

Very nice MG Brocket.
Guzzi seem to be hitting a sweet spot.

Too hot to be riding today but it had to be done to get it home. I've often said I hate spokes and I sold the T120 because I didn't like the spoked wheels, I still fell for this one.

I first have to adjust the gear lever so I can get my foot under it to change up.
I have a shopping list but it's too hot for me to go out and ride and next week or so the forecast is rain every day at some time. Also I am looking after my grandson 24/7 for the next couple of weeks.

on the V7: to adjust the position of the gear lever I had to remove the linkage and move it one notch further round the spline. Easy enough to do. Fine tuning the height of the lever is still possible with the screw adjuster but that was not enough for what I needed. Looked at the rear brake lever position and cannot see how that can be changed. I'd have liked it to be a little lower. Later I went to Ipswich to Orwell Motorcycles to buy an optimate lead and collect a scre I lost off the KTM.
I opened all the vents in my helmet and my jacket despite having sneered at such features that I've never needed before.
The V7 Vibrates like nothing I've ridden before. Hard knocks rather than high frequency tingling, but not too numbing. The vibes move between the left hand at 2200 revs and then to the right at 3000 revs. Coming home, the vibes didn't feel as strong Or maybe my hands hadn't recovered from the run out. On any other bike I'd have stripping it down to find out what is wrong.

Is there no adjustment on the clevis attaching the brake lever to the rod to the master cylinder? Looking at the parts diagram, there looks to be a lock nut so that suggests a degree of adjustability.

I backed off the locknut but it seemed to not do anything.
You have access to manuals??

I was working from the parts fiche rather than a manual. https://www.parts-motoguzzi.com/moto-guzzi-motorcycles/850-MOTO-GUZZI-MOTORCYCLES/V7/2022/V7-Stone-850-Euro-5-ABS/Brake-system/REAR-BRAKE-MASTER-CYLINDER/1515/39/8942/3047
As well as undoing the lock nut, I think you might have to pop the pin 13 out and screw the clevis in or out as needed.

I did come across a workshop manual for the V7 850 Special Stone though: https://www.guzzitek.org/atelier/pb/850/V7-850_Special-Stone_052021_Atelier(GB).pdf

The Guzzi tech forum (https://www.guzzitech.com/) is a great source of info for Guzzistas  :thumb:

Thanks Mr Nick - looks like I have to unclip #13 and rotate #12 The workshop manaul is a great find and is for the 'stone' and the 'special' I am knocked out with it thank you so much.

and 2112 for the link to guzzitech.com

My first mod is likely to be fitting the fork shroud bellows things that are on the Stone version. Then crash bars and maybe a Centre Stand but they are IRO £280. So I really do need torque settings etc.

I went with two friends to a new breakfast haunt in Earsham called Grumpys. It was too hot to 'go large' so I just had a Bacon bap and a small bottle of cold water. A nice 127 mile trip round the block on the V7. On the way home I stopped off at the water tower that is a backdrop for my bike pictures    since I took a photo of my first DL650 in 2012. As ever I still cannot get the top of the tower in shot.
199 mile on the ODO and the bike is getting a little smoother. I am well pleased with it so far. Running in revs are limited to 4500 although I've not been above 3900 ish and generally run it between 2800 to 3500. The fuel computer-me-bob is showing 83MPG But that won't last. American sites quote 48mpg but maybe their gallons are smaller than ours.
