Found some time to give my little Honda some attention.
Front sprocket cover needed a lick of paint as the original was starting to peel off (slightly different shade but H.e.y ho) and, while I was there I cleaned all around the front sprocket, dirty job ...!!
Also , a wash, a polish and some minor detailing.

Not bad considering it's 22 years old ..  :old:

Here's my old one , it's still going with over 130k on the clock.

I used to thrash the shite out of it on many track days and commute it ...  :icon_wink:

On the tight small circuits like brands indy, Rockingham and mallory I used to show up some of the big 4s with ease ..

I know you're not supposed to race on a track day but the photo below was me having a good race with a CB500 cup racer, was please to share the track with him , I learnt a lot...

The little CB's are phenomenal. When I started doing trackdays I thought I was giving 10 tenths coming into Gerrards at Mallory and a bloke literally rose round the outside of me flat chat on one.

My friend Don Carcas  ( HB Motorcycles) used to look after Joe Barton's racing 500x. Quite successfully, too.

I looked into entering the cb500 Cup but the costs and the amount of time that I'd have to commit at the time didn't work for me ...  :groan:

On the subject of racers, Mike Booth who I only know of from the 44T channel came off at the TT.

To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

It does make you realise when you step into another discipline that's for sure. When I was racing many moons ago and going well, older chaps just couldn't believe what we were doing on the bikes, and I mean like flat chat, sneaking an elbow over their arm under the bars and laying the bike across them in the turn ... and that was "normal" for me .. but when it happens the other way round by Christ its an eye opener  lol

Shame Boothy had to have his leg amputated below the knew TPL. Knew he'd crashed but didn't realise it was that bad.
Hope he recovers soon and he's back on two wheels when he's ready.

I didn't realise how bad it was either.

This is one of my favourite reviews of his.

Took my dad's 110 Address out for a spin and check over as he hasn't ridden it in a while.

My daughter wanted to go with me but we did let her sit on the bike and play with the horn.
She managed to start the thing!

Also she was lifted onto the seat the first time.
She got off after a while and to get back on, she stepped onto the foot plate with her left foot and lifted her right leg over the seat... I think we've passed on the genetic memory of how to get on a bike as she hasn't seen me get on a motorbike like that.
