rear shocks and a 2 into 1 exhaust from "Tec bike parts".

You will be happy with your purchase. My mate has both the shocks and a 2 into 2 (short version) exhaust on his Thruxton. The exhaust has a really nice, cheeky rasp and the shocks have transformed the bike completely. Both items look surprisingly well made. Enjoy  :thumb:

I found myself sitting at the back wheel of the KTM after doing a little job on the SP3 and saw the brake fluid was getting a little darker than new: it's been a couple of years since it was changed so I decided it was time.
Very easy job: just pumped new fluid through the system into the one-man bleed bottle until it came through lighter again. Tomorrow I'll do the front as I'm getting short on fluid.
I took the chance while I was there to check the chain adjusters were still free & greased them, then checked the drain holes in the swingarm were clear as well just to prevent the adjusters seizing in again.

2112, I went for Tec bike parts after watching their youtube channel. I may be taken in by their apparent Northern decency but somehow I think not. If the same worfs wete spoken in cockenese I would not believe a word of it. Nice people on the phone as well.

Last afternoon I felt the need to get away so loaded the car, hitched the trailer, loaded the SV. and here we are at the bikers campsite. The Dragon Wagon now serves full English breakfasts. Yummy.

@Brockett, what time does the Full English finish?
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

I met up with Earthcore who is still trying to tame The Nail and a couple of his mates.

Full English at Grindleford Station Cafe followed by a random ride through Buxton up to Three Shires Head. Then we set off to Monyash for coffee, followed by a blast around Foolow, Bretton and back down to Grindleford along to Hathersage. Another slog up to Ladybower then a "brisk" run over the Strines to the Stocksbridge by pass.

I say "brisk" just as we turned off the A 57 there was a bloke "lurking" on a Husaberg Supermoto. I kept him at bay until it starts to tighten up just after the turn off to Low Bradfield then he gave me a lesson. 240kgs of KTM does not like to and will not stop and turn at the same rate as it's skinny cousin.

It was an education. :)

I did save a breakfast sausage for Bucket. :thumb:

Riding around the lanes found me at Goodwick and an ice-cream from the van in bay car park was most welcome. Back at base and sheltering under the gazeebeo I note the installation of a drying line and hooks for those rare times when motorcycle apparel is too damp for the tent.

Took Jen's bike to work... front brakes binding slightly.  :dl_smiley_banghead:

Stripped them all this evening, 2 slightly dirty dust seal recesses on the LHS caliper.  :thumb:
GSX14 front calipers are notorious for binding with even the slightest dust in the recesses.

Tomorrow... a lap around the Becons on the muscle bike  :auto-dirtbike:

Took a run along the Fife coast out to Crail and then back around through St Andrews since it was such a glorious night. This was when I stopped for a few minutes at Earlsferry:

Slight fuel concern when the light came on just before Crail which had me twitching as I couldn't remember if the garages in St Andrews were 24 hour or not. I was a little confused as I didn't think it had been that far since the last fill: turns out it was only 85 miles, which led me to think I hadn't opened the valves on the balance pipe between the tanks. I stopped in a village to check, and they were indeed still closed from when I had one of the tanks off a wee while back. Opened them up & fuel light went away. Journey home again was nice with the temp dropping a little & the low sun meant I had company in the shape of my shadow on the verges next to me - couldn't out run him though...

Took The GSX to work yesterday to give it a little run.
Front brakes binding slightly- oh yes, it's been about a year (600 miles) since re-built them.  :dl_smiley_banghead:

Just to make sure that my re-build was all correct today I took it out for a nice leisurely spin around the block (120 miles through Brecon Beacons) :shy:

God I'd forgotten how good that bike is on a decent run. So relaxed at cruising speed and mental if you open it up  :auto-dirtbike:

Wash, dried and polished and put back until next Monday for it's MOT.
