Haynes Manual
« on: March 02, 2016, 12:33:13 »
Any ideas anyone why Haynes have not made/printed any manuals for the Vee from 2005 onwards? All I can find anywhere is TL1000 and DL1000 from '97 to '04. I understand there are not many major changes as such but there is certainly some electrical changes that one would need to have updated

It's a matter of demand. It's more lucrative to go through the work required to create a manual if the number of bikes of the model in question is large and are of a type riders tend to work on themselves. The OEMs need to cover all changes which is one reason why after market suppliers have less costly manuals.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

Haynes don't make a manual for the fuel injected Varadero, but I have one for the carb bikes...

Trouble is the most complex and weakest part of the bike missing for me.

The Haynes Manual that I have covers the 02-04 bikes. It has 3 different quality of paper and some colour photos, however, some of the page indexing is wrong. I assume they just printed various print runs, updated something but did not change the page numbers.

haynes has really gone downhill. They are no longer worth the money.
