I use cheap pair of these (eBay) for almost 3 years (been on my Glee, moved them to my Vee2). They've been through all kind of weather, dust, pressure washers etc and they still look like new

Had you fit them as they came or did you add any sealant? That looks nasty!

I fitted them using the included brackets to the crash bars, pretty low down. I didn't add any extra sealant, I should have put some silicone around.

I fitted some "eagle eye" DRLs and last night while I was on a blood run I lost both dipped beams, think its taken the low beam fuse out, need to sort the short before I re-fuse !!!

Moral of the story, irrespective of load put them on a separate fuse and relay !!! that what ill be doing this weekend, until then I apologise to all for blinding them on my main beams

I used low beam power only as a signal to relay and main power for aux lights comes straight from the battery, with inline fuse.

So - from reading most of the above, re adding spots - cheap (as per usual) goes with nasty..?? Don't really think I need to go there, or anyone else for that matter..!! It's a perfect way of time wasting - not to mention throwing away your hard earned..
Look - we've all got decent bikes so why fit crap to them..??
I'm considering Givi S310's on my Glee & from Signor Lamberti, seem to be at a very good price at £75.49 + £12 (12v, 55w - full fitting kit, wire, sealed bar switch & mounts  included..)  in comparison to similar deal with our UK suppliers at almost £130 squids..!!
See pics - what say you, Gurus..??
Cheers, J

Those Givi's looking great on your 'Thou' Vic..  :bow-blue:
Wow..!! most definitely going to put my order in to Signor Lamberti..!!   :lala:
The link I found by the way, 'ms666', is on eBay item number: 272023855408 - hope that of use..??
The price seems to have gone up a fiver, mind,  since yesterday..?? (must've heard me blatherin on about em..?? Ha..!!) Still seems like a bargain..
I also heard thro' forum, if you need a hugger - you'll get better value/price (if you're buying Givi) from Italy.. Why not..??
Cheers, J

Thanks for the link Jaimzee, looks like a good deal to me. I do order most of my gear from Italy, just today I ordered kappa panniers rack that was about £70 cheaper.

Pleasure mate.. sharing info saves time & money I guess.. Btw - when you say you bought your pannier rack from Italy - was that via eBay or direct..?? Any help would be appreciated.. link/web if poss..??
Re huggers - M&P seem to have the best price at around the £80 quid mark (carbon effect), but I really trust the Givi products & this is the one I've found.. eBay item number: 172032553513.  £85 delivered.. Pyramid brand not good according to members observations.. & not sure about Powerbronze @ £90 delivered..??
there's also a Puig on offer from Germany (BS-MOTOPARTS) which looks great but just short of £100 quid..
Cheers, J

Got the rack via eBay. Item no 351384975539
It's Kappa KLR3101 rack for monokey panniers, same as Givi PL3101, it was £120 delivered from Italy. Hope that helps.

Anyone put the Givi lights on a k2 DL1000 at 110w I'm thinking that the cheap Led's are the only option as I've read somewhere that the k2 only has a EEC of 40w.

Hopefully I'm missing something as the Givi lights looks great.

I fitted some new LED spotlights yesterday, ordered from Alchemy Parts via Amazon. I also ordered the 25mm mounting brackets to fit them onto my crashbars. I haven't had the opportunity to test them in the dark but first impressions are very positive.

(apologies to mods - I realised today that I posted this in the wrong thread yesterday!)

Vic929, can you tell me if the brackets on the Givi 310's would turn 90° to how you have them fitted? A picture in an earlier post from Jaimzee looks as though they might but just checking.
Cheers,
Mick

I have fitted Givi S310 DRLs to my DL1000.  Seem to be very story and good quality.  They fit well on the engine protector bars

.      Yes they will but I was advised to try keep them high for line of sight for other road users
