Does seat need time to break in?
« on: January 08, 2016, 18:03:00 »
Hi, I picked up my new Glee today and on the journey home I didn't find the seat as comfortable as either of the seats on the two bikes I test rode. Journey was about the same time, 1 1/2 hrs, but was getting a sore backside towards the end.
Both test bikes had between 2k and 3k miles on them so is it just a case of the seat foam needing to break in with a few miles.
I asked both dealers whether their bikes had a comfort seat, as they were so comfortable, but both said it was the standard seat and looks identical to the one on my new bike.
Thanks.

Yes. Or at least it did on my wee.
My bike was highter mileage and I swapped for a higher seat from Tusker that had seen less use.
It took ages for the damn thing to soften up, but it did.

Thank you, I've now explained to my good lady that I need to do lots of miles as soon as possible to fix the seat but from the look on her face I think the decorating is going to come first!

Get the bike in the living room and sit on it when watching TV  :thumb:
