Yours are 10mm longer making the seat height lower by 28mm.

Cheers as far as I can tell from a parts search all the links are the same through the range , but if anyone else can confirm that would be great. how much would you like for them?

The only model with different links is the Veek. All other Stroms use the same links.

I've just fitted what was described as a '50mm Jack up kit', however, the new Dog Bones are only 10 - 15mm shorter, can that be right?
The originals are 140mm which I believe is correct. Comparison below.

I think I've answered my own question, I now have a seat height of 870mm, the standard being 820mm and I have read that a few millimeters change in the links can have a drastic effect on the rear of the bike.
Just the Centre Stand to alter now

It works on a ratio of about 3 to 1 (or something like that!)
So 15mm difference in the dogbone equates to about 45mm in seat height.
Greywolf will be along soon with the exact figures

It sounds right. The 25mm jack up kit I fitted was about 7mm shorter.

It's slightly under 3:1. It's not an exact relationship because the angle of the swingarm changes even though the the ratios between the swingarm pivot, link anchor and rear axle are fixed.

I've put these in and raised the forks by 6mm (
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-DL1000-V-Strom-25mm-Jack-up-kit-/120807555672?ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:GB:1123
) and it did make a noticeable difference , it just feels right, it turns in that bit smoother and its not in any way twitchy still with stock springs, mine had been lowered by I reckon 28mm with links pitch or 150mm it felt like a sportster and the cars behind were complaining about the sparks(18.5stone prob don't help either) , then I tried standard pitch 140mm felt grand obviously its factory setting to suit the masses, then I tried 133mm with forks up 6mm and it just suited me , you're never really going to get your knee down on one but if you've come from any kind of sports bike to me this was another worthwhile mod, just make sure you put a bit of grease down there because from factory I'd say they're as dry as a witches t.tty

Hi Folk's,
Is this just to raise the seat height or does it make a decent difference to the clearance for riding offroad.
I am only 5"10 so don't need a higher seat for any other reason than not smashing my bash plate to bits

basically its like increasing the lenght of the shock it does raise it up at the axis of the seat even more so the further back but if yo can picture it -its just changing the angle of the swingarm and also shortening the wheel base so at the furthest away point forward lets say the oil filter or downpipe I don't think would be raised up by all that much just pointing down a little bit more , I'm open to correction but I'd rather have less ground clearance off road than a steeper fork rake, beef up the plate or buy an early 90's cr500

Raising links do both. The entire rear of the bike gets higher. It actually makes a Wee or a Vee more stable at speed. The slight change in rake and trail is more than made up by increased aerodynamic stability. The stock setup causes the front to lighten as the plastic ramp under the headlights causes front end lift. Lowering the angle of attack into the air helps with that.

before n after from 150mm to 133mm pitch links , only thing is the side stand was cut n welded by a butcher so it looks bad and leans over way too much.
