That sounds like fun to me, but to get an increase of that amount you would have to lose some of the low to mid range torque, unless it was a substancial capacity increase, and I imagine would involve more revs, shorter stroke, and a more radical camshaft with larger diameter inlet tracts.
It will be interesting to see the validity of the rumour, but for me, with the mods I am undertaking I think the bike will have a good real world power delivery, adequate for my needs.
