speedo problem
« on: August 24, 2015, 21:04:41 »
Hi, new to VStromming, hoping someone can help.
Bought a 2008 Vstrom, low miles, clean as a whistle.Rode 200 miles without problem. However, when re-fuelling, & guessing how to re-set the Odo, the speedo has stopped working. It only works briefly whilst decelerating. I have already searched the forums, checked the connections, attempted to test the sender (it seems OK to me). The clocks perform the initial sweep on switching on. The connections show absolutely no corrosion, & were completely dry.
Is it that I have inadvertently upset the function of the speedo by pressing the ADJ & set buttons in the wrong order. Any advice is greatly welcome. :text-imnewhere:

No, you can rule that bit out.

No, I just thought I would confirm it is not something you did with those buttons.
