Foot peg lowering
« on: August 15, 2015, 21:13:27 »
Hi all.

I'm fresh back from our family holiday and the first thing I find in the post is my foot peg lowering kit for my 2014 V Strom 1000 from Adventuretech in the USA.

I'm planning to tackle the job tomorrow but I need some info. Does anyone know the torque setting for the foot peg bolts on to the frame? They suggest using torque seal but I always like to nip bolts etc to their correct setting where possible.

The kit looks pretty straight forward to fit and shouldn't take long, just as well its forecast for dry weather in Northumberland and would like to test them out in the afternoon  :)))

Thanks.

Use 10Nm for 6mm shank bolts, 23Nm for 8mm shank bolts and 50Nm for 10mm shank bolts.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s
