Front forks nose diving
« on: July 29, 2015, 21:22:15 »
Riding home tonight and suddenly my bike is nose diving when taking corners.
Any ideas what might be up?
My nearest garage is 10 miles away and I am weary riding it, any help is appreciated. :fix:

Tyres all good, I stopped at a t junction bike jerked forward under braking, rode on took the next right turn and my bike was all over the place.
Braked to a stop with a slight turn and it just doesn't feel right.

I don't know if it's my imagination but the front end looks shorter.

Problems like yours can be caused by a number of issues ..
Wheel bearings (front and rear )
Tyre pressures
Popped fork seals
Headbearings
Yokes (top and bottom)
Fork springs  (unlikely )

Give all the above a check ..

First thing to check is for oil on the forks, if they are wet then the seals need replacing. Good luck with it
