I've seen a post about Fuel exhausts but that might have been for the Veek.

Am thinking of a new exhaust for the Glee but know some don't fit with the centre stand - if anyone knows if this does...

Plenty have Fuel on 1000cc but can't find any feedback on the 650 2012>. Thought if anyone knew, it would be on here! Seems just what I want and quite a bit cheaper than the others.

I want a pair for the Varadero.
The videos show the sound to be fairly similar to the beowulf one I had on the wee.

This says its a slip on & connecting pipe.
Does that mean you have to cut the original?
I thought you couldn't due to the cat!

The whole system except the stock header pipe comes off. I think it's what is called 3/4. Fuel have split the muffler and mid section hence the end can becomes a slip on. The stock exhaust remains unaltered for possible re-installation. This situation is common with aftermarkets for the Glee, hence their higher cost than those bikes that can just take a slip-on. Hopefully it will perform as well as other makes. It is quite a bit cheaper than others but indications are good.

Yes that does sound more like it. It just confused me on their website when it said 'slip-on & connecting pipe'.

I've just had an email to say the exhaust has been despatched. I asked them when and got another back straight away to say when - the firm are very good to deal with. Hope the exhaust measures up! I will have a practice loosening the bolts for removal tonight and then it's video ready to record unboxing and installation....

No centre stand - not sure about this, you would need to ask them.

Just did a bit of preparation: took off rear footpegs and put in blanking bolts as I don't need the anchor points or carry a pillion so I think I'll leave them off. Found the cross pipe under the tank and inserted a long handled socket to see if I could loosen it a bit - yep that will be OK. Took off muffler trims. Unscrewed lambda sensor most of the way and re-tightened. Hopefully I can twist it off to attach to the new pipe without loosening the cable. Could see all clamp bolts clearly. Put guards back. OK I think I will be ready to install OK when it comes. I shall put silicone in the joints. Probably will loosen the header bolts to make alignment easier. Looks like I'll have to wait until Monday as Parcel Force don't deliver at the weekend...bugger!

Fitted yesterday. With baffle out - deep sound. Louder when throttle closed. No pops. May run with baffle in, not sure. Very good quality and fits perfectly. Just the rear cylinder clamp in a really difficult place to get to. Good value for money. Here it is:

Do you still get a bar of Kendal mint cake in the box?, used them in the past for SV1000s and TL1000s also good repacking service, Very quick turnaround, found vee twins give the packing a hard time

I'm now interested in buying one of these, but I have Givi side rails/panniers.
Has anyone fitted a Fuel exhaust with Givi side rails?
Sea-strom - do you think this fits in the same position as the original or does it sit lower/wider/higher than the original.
I've phoned the company but they couldn't help as they've not fitted one to a bike with Givi rails.

Of course when we put on aftermarket exhausts, the bike appears different. We might rev more to hear the nice sound or less not to annoy people! Difficult to compare fuel consumption as all tankfulls are done over different rides. As for performance - well it seems more powerful and smoother but that could just be me! I'm really enjoying the fact that the old sewing machine has been replaced by a real motorcycle sound

. I've also started wearing ear plugs like I did on my previous bikes with nice cans - it mellows the sound and makes it more beefy. I've tried the baffles but don't really see the point as I put the Fuel on to get aggression - and boy do I have it! Early morning gettaways are a bit of a problem not annoying the sleeping neighbours so I looked out my old 'silent' bung which can be popped in a whipped out once away from the houses ( pics of that to follow).

It certainly looks smaller all round. Mine is the round; the oval might be narrower. If you want me to take any measurements ( eg from tyre to muffler etc) let me know. How do other members get on with aftermarkets and rails? The only other problem I could think of is the heat - it is hotter than the stock pipe but if it is further away from the plastic panniers, maybe this would overcome that.

Odd that it's hotter - without the cat there should be no reason for it to be so hot. One of the reasons I swapped the cans on my 990 was to go from the huge volcanic things that would remove your skin from 30 paces to ones that I can quite happily hold onto after a run. I also ditched the secondary air system as it was no longer needed with the cat gone - it's sole purpose was to heat the cans quicker.
