Hi, yep another question.
When I bought my wee, it had panel damage to both front side panels, just deep scratches into the plastic, I think ex owner used to park next to a low wall, and kept grinding along it. Anyway, went to Halfrauds and bought two tins of their mixed paint, YC2 paint code which is Candy Blue.
I stripped it down and repaired the damage yesterday, and repainted both panels, very pleased with my repairs, cannot see anything, however, colour match was pants, too dark.
I have looked around to see who else sells the paint, and it looks like it could be £50 a tin !!!!, I would need three. Might be cheaper to go to a body shop.
I can live with the mis colour for a while, but my next thought is a full respray and change the colour, maybe silver or red.
Question is, to those that know, should I have used a silver undercoat !!!, the paint in the spray can was not translucant as I expected it to be, just solid colour paint, so cannot see what difference an undercoat would have made, but open to learn
